My work PC and server have constantly updated virus detection programs and Firewalls. I also scan my hard disks regularly. Therefore, messages I send should not have viruses attached.

The only messages I send are replies to emails I have received — I do not generally send emails to people who have not contacted me first.

If you send me an email and get a response, you will usually be able to recognize that the message is coming from me:

• I do not send attachments without a good reason
• Messages are usually small (under 10 Kb) - in plain not rich (HTML) text format.

Spams and viruses

If you have received an email from my email address that may be a spam or a virus on someone else's PC that has copied my address and pasted it onto the email as the address of the sender.

The message is not from me if:

• You have not sent me a message yourself first
• If it has an attachment
• If the subject line is in a foreign language (another language that you have used) or if it looks strange

Please do not open suspicious-looking emails, especially attachments.
